get closer and get rid of the other photographers in your frame. I know it's tough, but do it. Throw on a 50 and take off your wide cuz the distortion is killing some of the images (in my opinion). Have you contacted anyone about freelancing for them while you're there? Maybe give some people a call or meet a reporter over there who may not have a photographer and cut a deal with them. I hope you're planning on staying there for a while longer because it's just beginning and you're in the middle of it all. Nice work so far, now focus on what you want to say. Meet someone who this is truly affecting. What will this mean for their future and how do you show it beyond the streets and the flag waving? Look for subtle moments away from the media pack. I agree with John a bit. Get tighter, Ikuru, if you bought a fixed 28, 35, and 50 and just used those, you'd be a rock star, I guarantee it. Otherwise, these are some nice frames from what looks like a chaotic event. I'm telling you dude, invest in some prime lenses. Plus, the low apertures will clean up your backgrounds. Keep it up dude, it looks like Europe is treating you quite well.
Thanks for feedbacks, Tully&Brandon. I'll keep that in mind. I want 28 or 24mm, but i don't have yet... So, I just used 16-35mm&35mm& 50mm, although i posted only 16-35mm ones... Seems like there are some stories, but i haven't got good access yet... I may move here because I get more work here - some agencies took my photos, though i don't know if they've sold them... In any case, there is news here, and people are more likely to buy them. Anyway, it's interesting to be here now. i will try to work on some essays/stories if i move here.
Ikuru, glad to hear you decided to stick around for a while longer and that some people picked up your photos. I agree a little with brandon, but also think you shouldn't worry about "if I had this then I would do this" kind of mentality. You're in Kosovo and everything is happening infront of you or close enough that you can go and find it. Worry about stories and photographs and not about what gear you do and don't have. If you had a point-n-shoot you could take baller pics because it isn't about the camera or the gear. That being said, Brandon is right about primes and shallow DOP, but you're kicking ass.
