Week 6 - Moment, Shape

I shot another feature and liked what I got. Because it's different from what I normally get. I was suggested to see if black&white works better, so I posted both color and black and white.

Sydney Alsfeld, 6, jumps into the water with her hand on her nose while her sister Brook, 9, gets onto the dock at Little Sunapee Lake’s public beach in New London. They came from North Kingston, R.I., to visit their grandparents in New London.

Great shot Ikuru! I just found your blog from looking at other Mizzou grads' stuff. This is Augie, by the way. I'm up in Washington State doing writing and photography for a local paper. If you want to check out my stuff, go to

Hope you're doing well man.

This is nice Ikuru. Go with the black and white, it showcases the nice light and shapes better. Good image though, the photo gods were smiling at you for sure.

I agree with Brandon, the BW works better. Nice shot, no doubt you got the peak moment on that one.

Oh, man! That's one of those decisive ones... Love it.
I'm afraid I don't agree with Brandon and Fredman. I think it works better in color (but don't ask me why, because I don't know --it's a just a feeling).

I agree with Jero. I like the color more (although I feel like it could be toned better--which is my argument). Great timing and framing. I really enjoy this shot.
